This was the answer to my prayers! My little Italian Greyhound loves being outside but could get through the pickets of the fence. He got out but did return, Thank God!
The barrier was easy to install and has solved all the problems. Everyone is stress free!!

We have an active 85 pound, 2 year old Cane Corso who suffers from a combination of separation anxiety, stubbornness, intelligence and extreme athleticism. Up until now, she has managed to escape the fenced area we leave her in when we occasionally go into town. We started with a 5 foot high wooden fence which she took one look at and went out over the corner. So, we added 18 inches of wood extension to make it 78 inches high. We were able to go into town twice before she figured out how to get out. Again, over the top (this time it was over the gate). The funny thing is that she will scale that fence, but stay in inside the 48 inch field fence to wait for our return. I think she just wants to prove a point.

We were nearly at wits end. My wife looked on the internet for advice and lo and behold, Dogproofer popped up. The many good reviews swayed us to take the plunge. So far, we couldn’t be happier. She has failed to escape on three occasions leaving only a few scratches on the fencing and some muddy paw prints on the uprights and no damages to herself, other than wounded pride.

The installation went well and all the packages were packed very well with no scratches or missing parts. As an example of the quality of their system, The lower arms all have a threaded place to receive a set screw and they were all milled perfectly, no cross threading. Everything fit perfectly.

We are very happy customers and would highly recommend them!

The gap fencing has saved our little dog many times over from the large dog next door that would like to have him for lunch! It was a perfect solution!!

I researched different fences to enclose my backyard for quite a while. Dog proofer had good reviews, seemed like a simple install, and was significantly cheaper than all the other options. I am so happy that I decided to go with this fence. The install was straightforward and I was able to do most of it myself. It looks really nice and keeps my dogs in the backyard and safe! I got the gate kit too and the door works great and looks great! Our backyard tends to flood and the posts have held up well. It’s held up well through some pretty bad storms as well, it is very sturdy. I highly recommend this fence!

Love the fence

I'm a renter so we put up a wire mesh fence with t-posts for our dog run. Jen at Dog-Proofer helped me figure out what I would need to integrate the 4.5' gate into our existing wire mesh fence. I just needed to purchase the extra hinge post and sleeve since I wasn't using the full fence system. Everything worked out amazingly and we are extremely happy with our decision of choosing Dog-Proofer. The only issue was the sleeves were very hard to hammer in and we used the top side of our t-post driver with placing some 2x4 scrap wood on top of the sleeve so we didn't damage the sleeve. I'd recommend that they provide the drive caps that come with the regular freestanding fence system. But overall, we are extremely happy how it turned out. Thanks to Jen & Dog-Proofer for making sure all our questions were answered prior to placing our order.

This ladder works great on back of pontoon boat, we have a 70lb and a 14 week old labs and they both took no time at all getting use to it up and down. I did buy the dock version ladder so I could flip up any store when moving.

It took me two days to put up 150 feet of fence extension. I’m a 67 year old woman and put it up by myself. It was easy and I didn’t run into any issues. This is day three after putting it up and my cat has obsessively walked the perimeter and made several unsuccessful attempts to get out. I’m so glad I purchased this and highly recommended it for other cat owners.

Worked really well keeping my 12lb dog inside our fence. Easy to set up and attach to our existing fence. Our dog stays in the yard now, no issues! Highly recommend!

Wide Gap Barrier Dog Fence Kit

Our vinyl fence is 6 feet tall around part of the yard and 4 feet around the rest. After about six months of golden retriever containment, our dog figured out how to scramble over the 4-foot section. We chose the Dog Proofer curved fence extension as a solution, and it’s been exactly what we needed.

We hired a local handyman for installation, and he had no issues. That said, vinyl fencing does require a bit of extra attention during install:
- The post caps had to be removed,
- A wood block inserted into the hollow vinyl post,
- And the extension bracket was drilled directly into the wood for stability.

We were initially worried about splitting the posts, but our handyman pre-drilled the holes and everything went smoothly.

It’s now been two weeks. Our dog immediately tested the entire perimeter and hasn’t escaped since. The system feels solid and secure, and we’re optimistic that she won’t be able to go over the top again.

Highly recommend for anyone with a vinyl fence and a dog determined to find the weak points!
