Two-Step Extension Kit for Dog Ladders
Let customers speak for us
from 803 reviewsI installed the steel mesh version of the extension kit and am very pleased with the outcome. I had a 4 foot high chainlink fence that was supposed to have 12 foot distance between the posts. Most of the posts were spaced about 13.8 feet. I took my time and used plenty of tie straps and the extension is plenty sturdy. There is no way that my 43lb Pit Bull will ever tear it down. Their poles and U-bolts are extremely strong. If you install the system correctly you will have no problems.
This looks and works excellent. We never thought our puppy now 45 pound dog would still be fitting through the metal fence. But we had to now make a more permanent fix and got this. We were putting up green constriction type plastic from the hardware store but that looked tacky. We got this and you can barely tell it’s there but works perfectly!! Highly recommend!
The fence was easy to install and my dog loves it
I was hoping that my dog (who recently had CKD and is no longer with us) would not have tried getting out of the newly added aluminum fence, but he did. From that time I had been searching for something stable that would keep them inside our yard. I came across this Dog-Proofer, that my dog would have loved. My GSD love that he can run through the dog run without me having to watch him, and I feel comfortable with him being out there by himself. I called the company to see if I painted the dog-proofer white, if the white could be seen, and I was advise not to paint it white unless I didn't mind the white being seen. Boy I am glad that I didn't. My neighbors could not see the Proofer from next door nor from the sidewalk. I Love It!
We love having this enclosure for our dogs, we rent so it was perfect to put up and be able to take down when we leave, and my huskies have a blast running around!
My husband and I put up just under 300 feet of the 6 foot fence with one 60 inch and one 36 inch gate. We are in our 50's. It took us about 40 hours each for the install. It was difficult, 7/10. We used an #8 sledge which was helpful. We also used hog ties instead of zip ties for the fencing overlap. Had we known the fence sleeves were so difficult, we would have used a gas post driver. Our cost was about $3800. Much cheaper than any of the bids we got for an installed fence. The fence is much sturdier than we expected. Due to the black color it does not block our views. Overall we are happy with our purchase. We made a YouTube video to showcase the fence and issues we encountered.
We had a great experience with this company, we needed to order some extra parts and they were very helpful with sending them promptly and assisting with any additional guidance we needed building the fence. The price was very reasonable and the fence is very sturdy and secure. Highly recommend!
I paid my landscapers to put it up for $400
They had it done in 4 hours!
This was the perfect easy-to-install solution to keep our dogs safe in the backyard.
One of our 3 pit bulls kept jumping over our 4’ vinyl fence. We installed the straight extensions with the welded wire fence. Took our time and inserted wood blocks inside each of the 32 posts to give it extra support. The whole job came out very nice and totally stopped our jumper from jumping over.
After getting very expensive quotes for other types of fences I discovered the dog proofer as a much more affordable option. I purchased 150 ft of the 4.5 foot fence and a 60 inch gate. My husband and I installed the fence over 3 days working about 4-5 hours per day. If we can do it anyone can. I have 2 beagles and they have yet to even try to escape but I have 100% confidence they will never get through this fence! It is SO secure and sturdy. I am so glad my dogs can run free now. If you are “on the fence” about getting a dog proofer I totally recommend it!
Most important defense does what we needed to do. We had to carve off part of our yard to allow our dog to safely run and be a dog. Must mention amazing customer service. Team helped me design and procure only what I needed. They were available afterward for additional assistance highly recommend buying.
I am happy with his option for fencing my backyard. I drove in the anchors and installed the poles while we were moving. My wife and daughter installed all the fabric mesh, and I made the finishing touches and trimmings.
I like how the fencing is obvious to the dogs but also blends in to the surroundings to create a safe but undistrubed environment.
Install was great - with the supplied material and tools the job was complete in a very short time.
Yes, I would buy it again, and I would recommend it to anyone needing to run fencing for a temporary/permanent solution to keep your dogs at bay for quite a while.
The no dig fence is perfect for us, it works and Ilike the way it works, very useful info given about how the construction is made for your dog safety, humane. it was shipped in no time customer service was helpful. Thank you Dog Proofer!
With quite a bit of ingenuity and sweat, I single handedly installed this fence in my 'glacial till held together by spite' New England back yard, with a decent slope to boot. I had to hand dig each of the 26 holes and remove very large rocks from many of them. As a result, I ended up using concrete in about half the holes. It was a smart move. The project took me a very long time (the entire summer on weekends and some evenings) due to the terrain of my yard. The fence has been in place for 8 months now, and there are absolutely no signs of wear. Two minor complaints: I felt that the instructions did not adequately describe the fact that the poles must be screwed to the sleeves with the provided self tapping screws. As a result, I covered all the sleeves with dirt and then realized I had to uncover them to complete this step. My drill got full of dirt, it was not fun. Also, the latch for the gate was too short. I ended up buying a different one somewhere else and it works great. My dogs are very happy with their space.
