If your layout includes multiple turns or very specific side lengths, you may need additional posts above and beyond what is provided in the kits. To determine the total number of posts needed or your layout, use these guidelines:
- Every endpoint and corner/turn needs a post.
- Every abrupt change in grade (up/down) needs a post.
- Measure between the posts that need to be in specific locations (see 1&2) and divide by 9' (maximum post spacing) to determine if any additional posts need to be placed between.
If additional posts are needed, they are available for purchase and can be added to your kit.
For ease of installation and delivery, the wire mesh is split into 2 separate parts. There is an upper portion and lower portion with overlap along the middle. This overlap creates additional strength then the overlap is secured together permanently during installation to create one seamless barrier.
Welded wire mesh is secured to posts with our black UV stable 120lb test Heavy Duty Zip Ties.
Fasteners for holding hardware to buildings/structures are not included. Fasteners should be chosen based on the type of material covering the building/structure (wood screw, masonry screw, etc.).
