Our steel fence option is for more aggressive dogs that may attack the fence material with their teeth.The welded wire in this kit is 1.75" x 1.75" 16 gauge galvanized steel with a black powder coat finish. The manufacturing process has the wire welded first and then the whole fence grid is hot-dipped galvanized before the powder coating is applied. This makes for a stronger and longer lasting welded wire. The welded wire, although heavier in weight and more difficult to install than the poly fence option, is the right product if you are concerned about your dog attacking the fence extension. The welded wire fence comes in rolls of 42" high by 50' or 100' long and the roll weighs 30-60lbs. If you have an extremely aggressive dog please contact us to discuss other welded wire options.
